What does my first appointment look like?

Your first visit is a dedicated one-on-one session with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. It includes a thorough evaluation of your movement, strength, and injury history, a discussion of your goals, and a review of your custom treatment plan, which often includes some initial hands-on care and exercise.

Do I need to get a referral from a doctor or primary care provider to see a PT?

No! Oregon is a Direct Access state, meaning you can come directly to Sisters Physical Therapy without a referral from a doctor or primary care provider. This saves you time and allows you to start recovery immediately. Note: We do accept referrals if required by your specific insurance plan.

Can I still exercise if I’m in pain?

This is a common question—and the answer is yes, with the right guidance. We believe in building resilience through movement, but progress comes from doing the right movements at the right intensity. We will thoughtfully adjust your current activities and provide personalized exercises to reduce pain, support healing, and help you regain strength, control, and confidence in your body.

What insurance providers do you accept?

We accept most major insurances, including Moda Health, PacificSource, BCBS Regence, Medicare, Cigna, and Medicaid (Community Solutions). Please see the list above or call our office to verify your specific plan details.

What is your cash rate?

We offer a cash-pay option for patients who are out-of-network, uninsured, or prefer not to use their insurance. Our cash rates are $200 for an initial evaluation and $150 per follow-up session.
